The first year of the KTFC Youth Academy has been brilliant . The Development Centre teams recently added to compliment The Centre of Excellence teams are starting to flourish and bristle with future talent. It wasn’t until I looked back over the fixtures played by the age groups ranging from U9s to U18s that I realised what a fantastic fixture list we’ve had this year.

Clubs played:
Newcastle Utd, Everton, Sunderland, Aston Villa, Wigan Athletic, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham,
Hull City, Cardiff City, Ipswich Town, Watford, MK Dons, Notts Forest, Coventry City,
Peterborough Utd, Gillingham, Southend Utd, Notts County, Aldershot Town, Northampton Town, Dagenham & Redbridge, Shrewsbury Town, Burton Albion, Stevenage, Luton Town, Grimsby Town, Cambridge Utd, Histon, Boston Utd, Halifax Town.

Not forgetting next year will see our first scholars at Moulton College and we’ve taken the steps to establishing a full U21/Reserve team that will play regular matches throughout the season – ALREADY CAN’T WAIT ‘TIL NEXT SEASON

A busy weekend with younger teams hosting West Brom at home. The older teams (13s,14s,16s) faced a 4hr coach journey to play Sunderland Academy away. A long journey but all teams enjoyed positive results against high quality opposition.

The U18s continued their dominance of The Eastern Junior Alliance League with an away win at Bedford, leaving them 12 points clear at the top.

Yesterday some teams travelled to Premier League Everton FC whilst other Everton age groups visited KTFC home venue.

Everton being a succesful premier league acadamy with a host of players coming through the ranks, obviously just a few yeards ago Wayne Rooney was in the youth and who knows yesterday KTFC could of been playing against the next WR or maybe we even have one of our own :?:

All lads equipped themselves well with the older age groups matches having some great, close matches.

The younger teams also enjoyed a fantastic experience which at times Everton showed why they are a Premier League club.

The matches show how far the youth of KTFC have come in a short period of time, plus it is not always players can say this weekend I played Everton so all players are on cloud 9.

It also goes to show how widely respected the youth has now become with many other clubs and what a great relationship we have built up with these clubs which will hopefully all point to a succesful future.
